76 years ago today. It lives in our minds forevermore, but not in everyone's now days. There are those who couldn't even tell you what it was all about, or where it is. Usually, the can't read an analog clock generation. :tango_face_crying:
A cousin of my father (both Scottish) was in the invasion even though he was technically too young (17) when they landed he got out on the wrong side of the landing craft, his unit was all killed by a shell on the "right" side of the boat...
