I have a Golden 39A manufactured in 1959. It is the ONLY 22 rifle I own, or need.
At 60 years old, its still a tack driver, and has accounted for several hundred squirrels and such.

I agree. Mine is newer (1976) I bought new in 77. The target picture is from 50 yards using a Weaver K-4 over a bag rest. The rounds in the bull were Rem Golden bullets.

I was impressed with the stingers performance. I find it interesting on both sets of shots I managed three touching but pulled two to the left in both groups. So it goes.

I took a 2 to 7 Vari-X 2 off mine and put a Millet red dot on it.
It's faster for squirrels stealing my pecans, and neighbors "stray cats".😁
