He just quoted me $110 to cut the barrel, thread it for chokes, drill and tap for a scope rail, and return shipping. I'm gonna have him do it.

Who are you speaking about? William at Sumtoy?
I was told there was enough meat in the mid choke barrel to thread without cutting. He did quote me 65 to thread the barrel.

HT still sells some altered H&R/NEF barrels on eBay,and will also cut thread and drill and tap your barrel if you send it to him...I bought a 18.5 inch cylinder bore 410 barrel.off of him 2 weeks ago yo use as a smoothbore 45 colt lead singer...

Hugh is who done mine and I supplied my own barrel to him I like his work

Well since men are tinkerers by nature I tried another variation that I am very pleased with. Take the first picture with short barrel and I acquired a 28" 20 ga TDC barrel and took the 20 incher and added a superlight synthetic set on it and made a nice youth gun threaded for chokes.
