I've been looking for one of these full camo 3.5" 12 gauges for several years that wasn't beat up and found smoking deal on one NIB. The seller was so cool he even gave me a .665 Kick's Gobblin Thunder choke with it. I found a direct fit Limbsaver recoil pad #10112 that's made to fit a H&R Ultra Slug Gun and Handi Rifle that fits almost perfectly. All I have to do is follow Limbsaver's directions and use my dremel tool to slot the screw holes on the bottom, move it the 1/16" you'll see in the pictures it needs to be flush and tighten it down

Very cool. Now go shoot a box of 3.5" mags out of it and report back on that limbsaver pad!!!!!!!!!!:tango_face_grin:

Neckisred isn't kidding! I had one that looked just like yours and my only words of wisdom to you are %>}*#@:! ouch! My son's words of wisdom concerning the same gun would be %>}*#@:! ouch! He was an all state football player at the time, I weighed an even 200 lbs and we could both bench press 300 lbs and it was till ouch!

I have seen several of those at Iowa gun shows and they all appear to be new in the box guns. There just might be a reason for that. I'll betcha that nobody ever wears one out!

However from my boxing days and from shooting lots of guns I have learned that the muscled up guy often can not take more recoil than a skinnier guy. Just like a boxer with a very thick stiff neck is much easier to knock out than the rubber necked guy who'd head just bounce off of his shoulder and right back up like a bobbing head doll. Recoil works the same. If you can roll with the punches you may be ok.

Good luck, I hope you kill the biggest Tom in the woods!

I don't have any intentions whatsoever of shooting any 3.5's through it. I'd imagine the 3" #6 Long Beard XR's are going to be bad enough, and I've got some 2 3/4" Long Beards from last year just in case. Lol

I'd shoot the 2 & 3/4 inch". I had the magnumitis bug back then and have often thought that I should have kept that gun and shot a load that I could handle. The turkeys probably wouldn't have known the difference.

They are a good gun as I have never had one of those H&Rs that didn't pattern well. It will definitely kill turkeys.

I have one with plastic monte Carlo stock and survivor for end. A buddy did a full camp wrap for me. I had a scope rail silver soldered on and use a Tru Glo 2x red dot.
I use a Tru Glo gobble stopper extreme turkey choke and shoot Federal 3” #5 turkey loads. The 3” pattern better than the 3 1/2”.
It’s pretty lite with the plastic furniture but when the adrenaline is flowing cuz there’s a long beard in front of me I don’t notice the recoil.
