Gorgeous - wish I could grab it up! I have the Buffalo Classic 45-70, Classic Carbine 45LC already - that would fill a hole in my collection - no way I can afford it right now. Good luck - I hope it doesn't get parted out.

Do you have the original Williams WGRS peep sight for it? Has any chamber work been done on it?

Mcgiiver,

I do not have the original Williams WGRS sight but they are available from Brownells. Iím not aware of any chamber work having been done but I acquired the rifle used. Do you know how to check?

Thanks for inquiring.

I'm sure Tim can tell us for sure, but I was thinking that the 38-55 came without sights originally.

Im pretty sure they came with the same set up as the Buffalo Classic. The Williams sight on the gun now is an upgraded target sight with knobs for windge and elevation.

The Wesson and Harrington BC and Target versions came with no sights, all of my H&R factory versions have come with WGRS and Lyman 17 sights(except accessory barrels).
