The process employed by cognoscenti is spinning by 'identity politics'—as their “vision” for the entire world is centered on the fracturing of entire societies into racial, sexual, and political blocs, etc. (identity politics) in order to subvert democracies and destroy nations. In this case 'shooter is a negative (killer) but sweeps every sport or hunter firearm enthusiasts into the mix. This includes RTBA constitutionalists swept into the fracas.

The answer--> Unity and Morality.

TM offers some worthy observations there. If the enslavement operatives can break our country into race, age, gender etc divisions, they have the battle to enslave half won. The other half is to take our guns away, so by the time the slow~witted catch on to what is actually happening, the people will be powerless to resist !

Likely the primary reason for saying "shooter" is to forward the idea that the gun is the evil part of the whole scene. Consider this; our domestic enemies are easily identified ! How?...simply by their eagerness to destroy our second amendment !
Please, slow~witted wherever you are, join in and help to save our country !

Buzzwords do bug me also.

However, I believe "weapon" is what is taught by military and police. They are taught not to call them "guns". Guess it somehow changes how we view the usage when the general masses try to use the same terminology to sound cool or knowledgeable. I see this myself. I call guns "firearms" most of the time.

You are correct rosewood, as a soldier I was taught to say "weapon" or specifically, "rifle" or "bayonet" not knife, same as it is called a "protective mask" and not a "gas mask"..

However, when I was set up to be a hunter safety instructor for the state, they insisted upon calling it a "gun", refraining from calling it a weapon.

used properly a gun, knife, car, truck, baseball bat, fork, ect are nothing but tools. All could in some circumstances be considered weapons. Its the person using them that determines that not how big of a magazine or what color, or how long the blade is or what brand of car that makes them cross the line.

true true. but then, any firearms in the hands of military or law enforcement will be used
as weapons, and not as tools for hunting, varmint control, pleasure or target shooting, etc.
such as civilians do. use as a weapon by civilians would be a very low percentage

The United States doesn't have a gun control problem.
We have a people control problem.

I once thought that we were. After i watched my own country crumble due to this

Niska my Sista is right on target again. I know, I can sit down and have a good time with just about anybody, the only time there may be friction is if it turns to politics, or religion. Problem is, I'm a political junkie, so if the conversation does turn that way I have a hard time changing subjects.

Tell them to shut up. When they are in charge of a locomotive. Then?
