Pentagon has drawn a plan to send 120,000 soldiers to the Middle East in case of Iran’s decision to accelerate nuclear weapons development or attack US forces, the New York Times said.

The revisions were ordered by a group led by the White House security adviser John Bolton, the outlet reported citing the administration officials. It is unclear however, whether US president Donald Trump would send so many American troops back to the Middle East, the NYT noted.

The size of the force is said to have shocked many participants of Shanahan’s briefing as the same number of troops was involved in the 2003 invasion in Iraq.

Yosemite Bolton is a die hard neocon. Looks like he and Donald take their marching orders from Bibi and the Likudists.

At this juncture Donald, Bolton, and armchair generals might want to review the results of 'Operation Millennium Challenge'....- ->

As well as research Magreb Weapon Technology.

"Operation Millennium Challenge"

Read the link, it seemed right on. If you can't win the war game when the aggressor is unfettered - change the rules to make sure you win. We already had 3000+ people killed by 19 SAUDI ARABIANS with BOX CUTTERS !!!!! I am sure Iran would only fight by the approved rules of engagement...

NW-Bear.....

Yeah....in asymmetrical warfare there are
two rules:

1...there are no rules

2...there are no 'do overs'

And expect long protracted conflict leading to stalemate-stagnate.

It is a long practiced route to start a war to distract from other events closing in on a president... Since I live in a Navy town I do feel for anyone put in harms way for no good reason.
