10 Nimitz Class and 1 Ford Class.

Here is the real question Argie:

How many are actually deployable at one time?

The U.S. has 11 carriers, but only eight are available for tasking at any given time.
Now you tell me how many Destroyers. No Ford class was in that photo.

The official answer is 2 are deployed at any one time and 3 others can be made ready within thirty days. That's been the 2+3 deployment plan for the last 20 years, so I've read. I've also seen the 8 of 11 deployable number but that doesn't seem supported by most defense experts.

The real answer to how many are deployable at this time is a controversial topic. Because of postponed maintenance, extended deployments, prolonged shipyard stays and difficulty of getting the new Ford Class carriers operational we may not meet the 2+3 standard we once had. May be a crisis in the making.

Do you really think we are going to divulge that information so you can read about it on the internet?
I doubt it.

But you know everything key board sailor LT Dave. So why don't you tell us. You wouldn't know a Cruiser
from a Destroyer unless you looked it up.

I'm as dumb as paint, but it looks to me like all the carriers are exactly alike...

The American People must forever retain the Right to own the arms best-designed and best-suited to bring an expeditious end to any tyrant whom would deign to separate The People from their Liberty as bestowed upon them by God.
