Default FA M2008 Single Shot Pistol

Is there anyone here who has this fine gun?

I ordered my M2008 with 10" in .357 Maximum and with additional 15" barrel in .308 Winchester.
The system is for me more comfortable as the thompson contender. But I needed two more barrel, one in 7x49R GJW (Guido J. Wasser) and anotherone in .22LR
FA plays with thougts to add the 7x49 GJW to his portfolio, and the .22LR is still a prototype, still after 12 years!? ... Well, I don't have the time to wait of Moses raised the earth.

Another call to gunsmith Zindel Custom, and few months later...

The design of the barrel is phenomenal, the barrel is vibration optimized and the design is important to hold the weight for the IHMSA weight rules.
But for me the Silhouette rules are not important, its more the precision with this lightweight barrel and its strong caliber.

And here comes the FA M2008 with 22LR Barrel 10"

I am pretty gun savvy but didn't know this one even existed. Freedom Arms stuff is quality stuff. I am intrigued to say the least.

Bob Baker dropped by my house one day with a couple of large cases full of these and some FA83s and FA97s to show me back when he first came out with the single shot. They were still prototypes when he brought them over for me to shoot. He was in town visiting some relatives and called to let me know he was in town.

We took the whole bunch of guns up to my back yard range and rung them out. I wrote up an article on it and posted here to the FA forum with photos of the various guns we were shooting that day. The article should still be here on this forum.

Looks like the photos aren't showing. I thought Matt had them fixed but guess not.

Great article. Have been wanting a m2008. Have had a T/C '06 for about 17 years or so... has a bulberry heavy bbl and it will not flip due to forward weight, so it does not handle recoil well. Been having to modify reduced loads in order to use it.

Its one of the things have always appreciated about the same FA grip(i think) in a revolver and its designed gun balance with fullhouse loads, when I use them, they are very doable - just have to remind myself to keep all screws snug on any gun.
