Default Stevens 301 20 gauge scope base

I recently purchased a 301 single in 20 gauge and would like to add either a red dot or scope to it. I see that a 410 and 20 gauge Turkey edition are/was made with a removable base but I can't find any part number or get a reply back from Savage.

Anybody have any leads on how to purchase one or know of any other after market base that would work? I was wondering if anyone has used an H&R/NEF base with success. Thanks for any information that can be added here.

I can't see why the NEF base won't work. I actually put my 301 barrel on my old H&R frame and vice versa. Both locked up great but the the forearms mount differently.

I remember reading somewhere where people were saying they were able to get the barrels to lock up to NEF receivers. The contour just looked different to me.
