Wouldn't gas stations be out of business if an emp happened??
Seems to me that a horse or mule would be preferable. (I choose mule)

Used to have that exact '79 Toyota truck, but in sand color. Wish I had it now!
An emp-proof vehicle gives you a lot more options than die in place.

Still would have sturdy bikes, and quality leather personnel carriers as back up.

Theoretically
anything such as wiring in an engine compartment,
spark plug wires, wiring for injectors and solenoids
on diesels, any kind of winding in a starter or alternator
or generator, or switch, or electronic fuel injector, battery,
any metal gas tank or container or fuel sending unit,
or anything that uses an electrical conductor or can function
as an electrical conductor will gather an EMP pulse and
burn to a cinder rendering any thing you might be able to
drive somewhere useless. of course, that same theory will
say that any metal or electrical conducting thing you might
be holding at the time will also gather EMP pulse and turn
red/white hot instantly and sear into your hands and
cripple you in the least or kill you at the worst.

i did say THEORETICAL right up front because it is theoretical
and we've never had an EMP and don't know for sure what will
happen. all that^ ^ ^ makes sense to me though if you've
studied physical science and electrical theory much

They guy with the EMP proof STUFF is gonna be the first to die after the EMP.

Possession of said STUFF seems akin to screaming SHOOT ME FIRST.

People do not like to think.
If one thinks, one must reach conclusions.
Conclusions are not always pleasant.

the ones to end up as buzzard food will be the mall ninjas/web commandos
that stand out in the intersection with their toys and dare someone to eff with
them. the ones that live will be those living far away from crowded cities and
have like-minded neighbors that keep a clear head and can be depended on
to pull their share of the load and all will have enough land to raise their own
livestock and subsistence gardens.

I guess with this defibrillator in my chest, I'd be toast after an emp.
