Default What is this?

Here's a pic from my trail cam this past year from Adams County. What does it look like to you guys? I'm still not sure.
The first pic is the original and the second pic is a zoomed in version.

Maybe a pig? Short legs, not very tall. Sort of long body.

Are ya sure it's not from your hunt a year ago in Florida? Looks like a gator or maybe a hog.

I looked at it for a while and can't say for sure it is even a animal. If it is the profile could be of some type of dog maybe ? But I can't really see any ears or even a head shape as the neck / head shape looks something like a polar bear but I haven't seen any of them in OH ?

My first guess was pig, but the neck is too long, the "ears" look folded down....if it wasn't for the long neck I would say def a sow or something you can kind of make out nipples along the bottom and its short enough, maybe there are two of them one has its head turned and the other causes the neck to look extra long? hard to say. Looks like it was taken last fall as all the leaves are down etc.

The picture was from last January at the end of the season out in Adams county. Below is from the same camera in daylight. I have deer pics on other cameras in the area but this pic didn't really look like it was shaped like a deer. About a week before this was taken I was talking to a guy that owns a farm in the area and he told me he was sure he had spotted a cougar or mountain lion on his property. I didn't put much stock in what he said at the time but then when I saw the trail cam picture I had to wonder. It's just hard to make out a tail or head on whatever it is. If it was a deer I'd think the head or ears would be visible at least a little bit. I'm gonna put out some cameras in the area again this year and see what shows up.

I don't know what that is in the picture, but your friend is right about the cougars. A friend of mine was ground hog hunting near Carey, Ohio and watched one for about ten minutes before it entered back into the woods. Friend called the game warden and reported it and was told there are none here, he tells warden he will shoot it if he sees it again, but the warden says you can't be shootin cougars in Ohio.
