Took my son out today and put him on a spot were I have taken several deer the past few years. He shot a buck about an hour later. It was a 6 pt earlier in the season, but had lost half its headgear, probably fighting. It was mid-afternoon and I was happy to get the truck and recover his deer, too windy for my liking. So instead of shivering in the woods at last light, I was home on the couch sipping on a homebrew. Like is good.

BTW, a 250g ftx, 2,200 fps MV, from a smokeless MZ does big damage to the boiler room of a whitetail.

Why be difficult, when with a little extra effort you can be impossible?

I was finally able to get a good shot on a decent doe last night just before dark. Glad to have the snow to make the drag easier and it sure helped with visibility.
Sure could have used one of them Sherpas.
