Jesus never had armed guards. It's sad that might need to be now the case. Well, there was that incedent
in the garden of Gethsemane when he was arrested. And he took care of that.

Not yet. We are approving a plan next week and that is the next step after we get our ducks in a row.

Please share what you can when it is formalized.

I have a very good friend thatís a missionary in Kenya Africa. During the week he teaches in Nairobi and on the weekends ministers to the Masi tribe out in the bush.

One day during class 3 men with AK47s walked into the classroom and pointing their guns at him demanded his keys to his speed the light vehicle. He refused and one shot a burst at him. He told me he could hear the firing and see the power burn coming out the muzzle. The distance was only a few feet. The men looked at him and turned and fled. After they left he examined himself. No bullet holes in him or behind him.

God can protect his own.

For years I had the warrior mindset and was never out of the reach of a gun. Then one day I realized if someone broke in my house Iíd probably sleep through whatever happened. Yeah I still have a Glock beside my bed. But I trust in God and ask him to watch over me and my family every night.

Will do and it will be next week.

What happened is we had a guy come to church and stand up during service and started harassing the pastor over theological topics. He just stood up after announcements and started going to town with a list of complaints. He ended up being forced out after a few minutes and became belligerent, louder etc. Of course it was a day we had visitors and they headed straight to the nursery to get their kids and never to be seen again. The guys wife just sat there horrified and everyone feels really bad for her.

We talked to the police and they said "what is your plan" and we discovered we don't have one. Our local cops are pretty good and they have been working with us to get a plan formalized. They actually came the next week in case the guy showed up again. We found out a few other churches have a plan now and we are a little behind the times.

I am not sure what the plan is but I believe it is a new reporting system for when issues occur, off duty police on Sundays, Wednesdays and also during church events like VBS etc. They are also bringing police cars and parking by the main road so they are visible each Sunday. One thing we discovered is this individual had inappropriate remarks to several church employees but no one ever said anything and that is the need for the reporting system.

Doesn't seem like church to have to do this but we feel this was a warning sign for us to get prepared.
