Chris Rosebrough was raised in Charismatic circles. He was delivered from that religion and found sound teaching. He is now a sound Biblicist, Pastors a church and has a ministry called Fighting for the Faith, a podcast and videocast ministry that reveals the lies of the NAR and other racical religious groups.

The breakdown of Sid Roth's money making scam begins at 2:45 into the videocast.

Season of break through.
Blockages to break through.
Discover invisible barriers.
Decree what is rightfully yours.
Prophetic break through decrees and declarations that will break demonic curses.
Recognize the signs of curses in your life.
These things war against your prophetic destiny.
There are bloodline curses and ungodly soul ties.
There are also soul agreements and you can learn the secrets.
There are also keys for you to learn, keys that allow you to break spiritual limitations.
You can learn how to partner with heaven to get results.
Possess supernatural faith which will help you make the impossible possible.
Learn to break faith barriers and blockages to receive your breakthrough.

Send 35$ to Sid and he will tell you all of this and more. NOT IN HIS PROGRAM thought. You gotta pay if you wanna play. If these things are real why aren't they spoken of in scripture. Seems like God would have told us 'bout 'em if they was a 'thang.

The argument can be made that such things are acceptable as long as these people are preaching the Gospel. This approach is applied to people who are less radical in their message and packaging. That argument to me seems to be splitting an unrelated hair. The Apostles were pretty quick to note that ANY deviation from Christ and Him crucified is a deviation from the Gospel and is factually another gospel.

It appears that the charismatic, Apostolic and Pentecostal movements were founded on and anchored in works based salvation. A few seem to have escaped this false teaching but the movements are still founded upon a false gospel. Because of this, all that they teach becomes suspect.

Would this premise then not also apply to Catholicism with "far more deviations" from the Gospel than any of the charismatic movements, both singularly, or all combined?

You canít lump all carasmatic or Pentecostal churches under the same title. You really canít do that with Baptist churches either for that madder. You have snake handling baptist, hard shell; soft shell, missionary, and southern of course. And their all hung up on something to the extent they split over it.

carasmatic churches as a rule are prone to excesses of scripture or worse. The mainline Pentecostals COG, AOG, and the PHC groups usually preach a solid gospel message of the cross. We just still believe the Bible unlike the churches that believe the Holy Spirit went home after the apostles died. Iíve never seen a The End in the New Testament book of acts. So I believe if God Healed the sick then and gave those gifts then he still does. And will continue to do so until our lord Jesus returns for his church. But we canít presume upon God. Sometimes God says no to our prayer.

The reason we see less of those manifestations are because of our unbelief. Same reason Jesus told the deciples they sometimes could not heal the sick. Or cast out demons.

As a general rule though all churches in the USA are getting soft in their preaching and watering down their doctrine. We measure success by the head count. When we should be getting our messages from God not a lexicon.

Yes Pastorp, this brings to light he teaching on how " we have not because we ask not, we ask and receive not, because we ask amiss". One of the factors I have heard in how much more successful the African conferences are is that the people there believe and expect more than we.
That and our focus is medical way too often, He richly deserves and asks first place in our lives.

It is possible to live in a way, in a place, where the wicked one touches us not.

best wishes

I'm curious. Specifically, who, and where, are these "snake handling Baptist churches"?

I've found Holiness churches, and Pentecostal churches that handle snakes, but not Baptist churches.

There are supposed to be about 125 such churches nationwide.
Do you have a link on the Baptist ones?
