Default CVA Dbl Rifle barrels

I bought a set of CVA double barreled rifle barrels. I want to build a rifle around them. I'm not worried about making or procuring any of the parts needed with the exception of the tang. Therein lies the problem... I can't find one!

If I must I'll grab a file and a block of mild steel and make one but that is a problem in itself. These barrels have what CVA called a "button" breech. If it were a hooked breach there would be no problem in crafting a tang, but I have never even seen a button breech!

So, I was wondering if (a) anyone has a CVA double (shotgun or rifle) with a button breach they could take some pictures of, (b) anyone has or knows of a button tang for sale? or (c) anyone has or knows of a CVA Double barrel shotgun with button breach for sale?

Thanks for the help!

Dang, I was hoping someone knowledgeable would respond to this so I could learn what a button breech is!

I guess I should have updated this sooner...

I bought a CVA double shotgun with the button breach. It was an older model and when I checked it when I checked the tang I found it used the hook breach type! The newer models have a tang especially for the button breach. I haven't had a chance to get to my gun room to see if the rifle barrels fit on the the shotgun though.

And, as luck would have it, Tom (BikerBeans), my old friend and great member of the forum, had a double rifle (in parts) laying around and is sending it to me.

So it looks like I'll have everything I need, either in parts or as patterns to build the double rifle!

Here's a pic of the button breach:

Looks kinda like buttons - imagine that!

Thanks for the pic - curiosity, you know.

Glad you got it worked out.
