Default Henry Single shots before hunting season?

I'm beginning to wonder if the Henry single shot rifles will be on the shelves before big game season kicks off this year. I see a lot of people advertising them, but for back order. Henry seems to be behind schedule getting them out.

I don't think of myself as a staunch Republican or Democrat.
I am a Christian and a Conservative...........In that order!

I'm beginning to wonder if they exist at all.

I've pretty much given up on them for this year, I've been checking several sites daily, none to be had and Henry has yet to update their availability page which still says May '17, the SS page say early August '17.

And now, they've lost all of their marketing momentum. All of the build up, and all of the let down, has left a bad taste in folks' mouths.

Henry updated their SS Page, their latest guess is mid Sept now.

I'll believe they actually exist when I see one in the rack at my gun shop.

I have no idea why the delay but I would rather them get it right the first time and if that takes more time, I will wait. I have already ordered one from Bass Pro and am hoping to get it scoped in by deer season.

They did email me yesterday and said they will start production in a few weeks. Exact email wording is:

We hope to have these in full production within the next few weeks.
Thank you for your continued patience, we truly appreciate it.
Have a great weekend!

"We hope . . . ."

"within next few weeks . . ."

They haven't promised you a thing.

I like the vagueness too. Might as well say "heck, we don't know".
