Default Henry .357 Scope Base

So I ordered in one of the Leupold scope bases for my new Blues .357 mag single shot. It won't fit without removing the rear sight. I'd rather not do that so I sat down and drew one up and machined one out of Aluminum that will clear the rear sight folded down. The Henry base looks like it might clear but I thought I might make mine out of brass just for the heck of it - and i needed some more practice programming. Came out pretty good for a first run prototype.

I actually pulled my trigger guard out last night to see how hard it would be to make one lol. It comes out and goes back in a lot easier than the H&R - it would still be a pretty big project to draw it up and program it - not to mention drilling and tapping the the holes that hold it in place - but you never know....

Not yet - my mill broke down so I have been concentrating on getting it back up and running. I want to make one out of brass with a couple small changes - a little bit longer and I moved the holes back a little to make it usable on older H&R guns and first series Henry single shots.
