Losing a spouse, especially someone who has been a part of your life for so long, is in fact losing part of yourself.
My wife and I will celebrate our Golden anniversary in six days. I know the pain your going through feels unbearable, but surround yourself with family and friends to help you get through it. Although your love for her will never diminish, the pain will lessen. My sincere condolences for you and your family.

I don't think of myself as a staunch Republican or Democrat.
I am a Christian and a Conservative...........In that order!

After 55 years I can only imagine what a loss you experienced would be like If anything were to happen I really don't know how I would cope. She is my rock she waits on me hand and foot. Women like these are few and far between. I know that eventually it will happen to one of us but I get emotional just thinking of it. I feel a person is only gone when we forget. Just keep in mind the Good Lord gave you all those years you have to be thankful of that, so many loose a loved one way too soon.

It is better to trust the Lord, than put your confidence in man
If we ever forget we are one nation under God, then we will be one nation gone under.

I can only imagine what you are going through, If I lost my wife I would be crushed. Prayers for you and the Family.
