Default KSP-221 (snub 6 shot sp101)

I bought this little gun over 20 years ago, never shot it.

started looking at it the other day. debating about having it drilled for 22 mag.

but then i noticed that it is kind of a rare revolver, per some forums.

is it rare enough that i should keep it original?

The only way to get a Ruger double action revolver in 22 mag, is to have one reamed out to 22mag. Iíve got one of the older 6shot model model sp101 ones and a new 8 shot Sp 101. Itís hard to find a gunsmith thatís willing to rechamber.
