So my personal safety is someone else's responsibility? What if they shirk their responsibility? Am I supposed to let it ride? I feel that if the government won't protect our borders it should be changed to one that will.

"theres 200k of them here already that our tax money is spent on. Someones giving them a ride."

I'm glad you can spot the obvious. However, those that walk across don't even need a ride. Two different things. Stopping the rides and building the wall are not mutually exclusive.

Aim small, miss small!!!

With all the rhetoric I am hearing daily I think it will be the supreme court to sort out. Hopefully it won't take months for them to sort it out.

good luck with anything getting done fast by the supreme court and my guess is if the president wanted to take the chance the supreme court would decide he is right he would have already put it to them. He knows hes on shaky ground constitutionally. I really think this is going to be intentionally drug through the dirt till after the next election. If trump pushes hard for this and looses its going to be something that will hurt his reelection chances because it makes him look weak and he knows it. If he forces it through when the majority of americans aren't convinced its the answer then he looks like a dictator and will sour many conservatives that don't like the government to have the capability to go against the peoples wishes. If he just pushes hard enough that he doesn't have to admit he is giving up he saves face and the liberals cant claim a win. Its why its been whittled down to only 50 miles of fence. the minimum he can do and still call it a win. He will wait till after next election. build his 50 mile fence and all it a victory. In truth nothing will change. Its about like tearing down all the fence at a high security prison and putting up 50 miles of fence on just the front entrance side and being so naive that you think that will keep the prisoners in and they wont use the back door. might help the town right I front of that fence but in truth it will just channel them into someone elses back yard. I wouldn't want to be a Texan on the east or west side of that fence. .

.

What happens then? Why it is the US Army Corps of engineers to the rescue.

Should the people in Kansas, Iowa, Montana and Arizona say; ..."Hey! We don't have any lake erosion problem..so stop spending OUR money in places like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York!"?

Does that read logically ?

I can honestly say I have seen them spend any money around me on lake erosion. I can also say if they were putting up a barrier to lake erosion by one harbor that just caused more wave action in the harbors at either end of that barrier id be saying the same thing. Or if they were bowing to one special interest group or only one state and spending billions on 50 miles of a 1000 mile shoreline that in some places had a bigger erosion problem then the ones there ignoring. Kind of comical that the first "border barrier money" is being spent in the area that wants it the least. Southern CA. Heck they will have to worry about people cutting holes in it from boths sides! You guys from texas and Arizona will now get the ones to lazy to dig under the fence in CA.

Yea and hopefully they make a straight beeline to Michigan. Hopefully your soon to be next door neighbors. Bet you would love that Lloyd. Maybe even make you some good south of the border Mexican food. Served with tequila.I know you would like that.
