My mistake dee. I keep forgetting a welfare bum from texas is somehow more important then a doctor from arkansaw. That you are born special. That somehow your opinion means more because by God your a Texan. Only state in the union that your born special.

but don't you know that Texans are owed that?? After all there TEXANS! Allways chuckle when Texans call northerners yankees. If I was from NC SC GE or AL id be insulted that they felt they have that right. They probably contributed less to that war then any southern state. They didn't earn that right. It was a Texan president that did more for black rights then Abraham Lincoln. Gave us the "great society legislation" which is about the corner stone for socialists beliefs in this country. Another texas president and his son who also became president who turned his back on trump and the republican party and shook hands and are friends with the CLINTONS!

Like with the wall they want everyone else to pay for there gains. Heck what the monument there most proud of "the Alamo" was mostly fought by people from other states. Even some YANKEES if im not mistaken. Only state in the union that thinks there more entitled is CA. Probably why theres a mass influx of Californians moving there today. Maybe they can continue that was all the way around texas. Heck they don't think any better about people from Arkansas, California or sno birds then they do Mexicans anyway. Everyones trying to invade there sacred lands.

Just another CA. take all the federal money they can get but claim they don't want the federal government telling them what to do. You guys can bash me all you want. Doesn't bother me in the least. Why? Because I know in the end the wall isn't going to ever be completed. If its even started all it will take is some liberal to get into office and building it and maintaining it and even manning it is going to be the first thing on there chopping block. Even if we get another conservative president he sure isn't going to even come close to pushing this crap or wasting time like president trump has on it. They will know theres bigger fish to fry. The threats from countrys like korea, china Russia and muslim terrorists are where smart money should be spent. This wall thing is hurting the republican party. Millions of tax dollars are being wasted arguing something that most American don't want. If trump isn't reelected in 2020 it will be the votes this has lost him that's responsible.

Also Texas gains immensely from a number of military and federal installations based in the state.

Now I don't know if its a great idea to pay for a wall project by Texas; but I would say he who pays says......meaning I would think if Texas is paying they would retain alot of control over how their wall is built and operated.

Heres a quote right from you in another post

I think Bob that is why Texas is turning blue is the fairly good weather we have to compete with California. I do think I can put up with Mexicans as opposed to a bunch of Muslims though. At least we can see their faces.

Lloyd.....

Still doesn't negate the fact that most all border and security authorities claim a wall is a deterrent and important or key to do their job correctly and effectively. Probably more important in this era of mass caravan invasions.

Lloyd you're the only person I have ever seen or heard that can ramble on for hours on any subject matter and make absolutely no sense whatsoever. You are a one of a kind Yankee for sure. Cheers

I said I had had enough but when a yankee starts trying to teach Texas history it's just too much. **** yes, most of the participants that were slaughtered at the Alamo were from other states. Immigration except for a few early illegal settelers started in 1825 and the Battle of the Alamo was fought early in 1836. They really didn't have time to grow a resident army did they? But there were some home grown fighters there that we shouldn't forget. Mexicans fought against Santa Anna too. I wonder how many from other states would stand up and do something like this today? Not many I would bet.

As to the civil war, nearly 90,000 troops from Texas fought in it and Texas was treated just as shabbily as any other southern state that fought by the yankee government and the carpetbaggers that they sent to help. That's a considerable number of people from a young state to go off to war.

I know I would have had as much affect with this as I would have talking to my stump but I feel better now.

Well, thanks, Dee, and you are a rare bird. I hardly ever have someone tell me I know what I'm talking about.
