Kind of like my opinion of organised religion in general. Just christians we have how many denominations? Every one a little different from the other, and every one says you have to do it this way or your going to h###. They cant all be right, and they cant all be wrong.

You do what YOU think is right, not what someone else says is right.
You don't run your religion down someone throat, or vice-versa.

For those many of us who have studied the faith for years, we are well aware of the basic doctrine.

There are some fundamentals in which a firm belief is required for salvation..the rest is open to discussion and debate.,

For instance, mandatory, no debate:

A) Jesus' blood cleansed us of our sin..

B) Jesus is our savior.

C) Jesus was miraculously conceived.

D) Jesus is the Son of God...and God the Son.

Points of disagreement which do not affect salvation:

A) What kind of music is appropriate for church?

B) Jesus had brothers and sisters.

C) Should we drink alcohol or not?

D) Tongues or not?

It seems to be primarily the points of disagreement, freely debated issues which bring about the various denominations.

They can differ in those questions, and still be a solid Christian body (IMO).

So why are you so conserned with getting rid of god out of the politics fourm. I wont quote Bill or pretend to know what he means. Its his fourm and he can moderate it, allow or disallow any post or poster. He doesn't have to answer to me if I don't agree hes following his own rules. There his rules! He can make them up as he goes. THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY where your opinion counts. You only have two options. Live with what he allows or leave.
