Well, I've been here a long time, and I don't remember whom your talking about.

I also don't believe anyone can put a curse on someone else.

Some folks take things said as bullying here, and for the life of me I don't know how you can bully anyone with a keyboard.
If it were possible, you and I would be black and blue.

As far as "making" everyone Christian, that's not possible, but anti Christian remarks usually get a response, that don't involve death threats.

Your analogy of Islam in Istanbul sounds more like the Texas Prison System.

Prison is not designed to "rehabilitate" a criminal. Prison is "forced compliance".

Islam is "forced compliance".
i.e. convert or we'll kill ya.

There is some fanaticism here, I catch my share of that, but dealing with it goes back to "bullying" on a computer.

You can stalk someone on a forum and try to shout'em down, or you can just not respond to something you don't agree with, or how it was "typed/said".

From DG, an interesting statement.

" I guess that I just do not trust, despite all the fine words, that the evangelicals will not keep pushing their agenda to make everyone believe as they do."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let us take a rational view of that statement. Who else tries to make others believe as they do;
1) Democrats …………. 8) Vegans …………….. 15) communists
2) Republicans ……………. 9) Fans of any sports team …………… 16) Fashion editors
3) pro-life ……………. 10) Greenies & warmies …………... 17 ) Scientologists
4) Pro-abortion …………….. 11) Cat lovers ……...…. 18) Confirmed batchelors
5) Globalists...…………….. 13) Some Ford & Chevy...…………... 19) Many college professors
7) Russians...…………... 14) Socialists...……………….. 20) Feminists
...And on and on and on...…….. If I wanted to take time, I could list hundreds of groups who labor at the persuasive arts..and many of them are far more persistant than any of the Christians on this Forum!!!
So, what is so unusual about Christians?
Pete, your trust may be entirely an internal matter for you and have little to do with evangelicals. Secondly, anyone (ANYone) who thinks they have the answer to the way things ought to be should want every one else to believe as they do. The Climate Change folks have Evangelicals beat hands down on this point. Third, we still live in a plurality, which means every voice in the public square is equal - if you don't like the music, change the channel ... but don't censor the channel you don't want to hear. Finally, there is a big difference between wanting people to believe as they do, and wanting them to ACT as they do. When I look in the public square today, it is the Christian everyone else wants to change to ACT as they do - as long as they keep their beliefs to themselves. Joe Biden's stance on abortion is a prime example.
To bar anyone from their faith for any reason and at any time is a violation of the First Amendment Religion Clauses, in both parts.
Schools have removed religious belief systems from the curriculum, and removed time to observe personal religious belief systems from the schedule. But they have filled the curriculum with other belief system of a non-religious nature, and dedicated time to their teaching, practice and observance. Unless ALL belief systems are allowed equal footing, whether its global warming, gender studies, alternative history, yoga, or a prayer, schools are in fact engaged in Establishing a secular belief system by disallowing any alternative paradigm. Your statement indicates that you prefer religionists stay in the closet ... which is not the nation our founders intended.
You, all, have given me a lot to think about. I am wondering about my own prejudices. Hmm,
From their words and actions, I'd say that would be their preference.
They are scared witless of muslims, and would convert rather than save their souls.
Give me a name of someone who doesn't have prejudices, about something, or someone, or both?
Your prejudiced towards Christian dogma injected into schools and government.
And Christian's are prejudiced towards your wanting it your way.
My goal is the Beama Seat of Christ, and avoiding the White Throne of Judgement.
I have no delusions of changing your mind given the amount of information I, and others have provided you over the years.
The threat you feel may be that little small, still voice in your heart that is there, like it or not.😉
The thing that the globalist, liberal, progressives dont like about christianity is faith. I am reminded of a line from the villain in the movie pale rider when he found out the preacher was staying with the small time miners. "I had those tin pans ready to quit, and now you let a preacher mo e in there? A preacher!!! Be can give them faith, they get a little faith and we'll never get them outta there!!!
