whose propaganda is that? Everyone with an axe to grind against socialism always uses Venezuela as an example. Don't be manipulated by such tactics.

George Soros lite, of the conservative kind funds them. Job Creators Network is the propaganda agency...

Whether you agree or disagree with propaganda, always know where it comes from.

No; not just Venezuela..would you like a sketch of the Soviet Union, Pol Pot's Cambodia or perhaps you would like to consult survivors od the eastern Block of countries who enjoyed the blessings of Soviet socialism/communism..places like Poland, Roumania, Czechoslovakia or the survivors of the now defunct Yugoslavia or Bugaria.

Maybe we could revel in the delights of Cuba or north Korea..

How about the best, most obvious comparison between socialism and capitalism..North vs South korea !

Those would all be reasonable comparisons. I can tell that you're not in the propaganda business. Otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned them. Throw in china and India for good measure.

I'm getting tired of this lacking creativity in arguing against socialism based on just Venezuela. People know that it's just small and inconsequential country. There are many good reasons to prefer our system to that of China and India, which are both socialist, and together have about half the world's population. Bottom line is that we sure have a lot of immigrants from those countries because the opportunities and economic mobility there don't even begin to compare with what we have in the US.

I think we can agreed on the continuous failure of socialism. It pains me to see so many young people who are supposedly gaining a college education and are falling for a system that has been tried over and over and over again..and FAILED every time it was tried.

I have here on GBO, mentioned many times how it did not work here in America, for the pilgrims, the Oneida community, the Shakers or the Amana community.

Shucks, it didn't work for the many hippie communes of the 60s and 70s..and many of them were college grads..

Charlie Manson's commune didn't do well either..

It's worse than that. A lot of these people who want socialism don't even know what socialism is. My guess is that a lot of them think it's a gravy train that will make their lives easier, while it's the exact opposite.

Yes, for supposedly bright people, they sure seem to think they can change America into a vast cornucopia of freebies of every kind.

Don't they teach economics 101 in college anymore ?
