Why is serial sexist Mike Bloomberg getting away with using NDAs to silence women?

The same woke Left that canceled a scientist for an edgy t-shirt and jumped to smear teenage Trump supporters from Covington Catholic as racists has yet to cancel 2020 Democratic candidate Michael Bloomberg, who actually deserves it. Apparently, there are different standards for left-wing billionaires who pour their money into anti-Second Amendment advocacy and other liberal causes.

And the double-standard really is stunning. Mike Bloomberg is getting away with not just a blatant history chock full of sexism, but most on the Left have overlooked his ongoing efforts to silence women who want to criticize his sexism. Only a few figures, such as Elizabeth Warren and conservative The View host Abby Huntsman have been brave enough to call Bloomberg out on his decidedly un-woke track record.

Appearing on the show alongside Huntsman on Wednesday, Bloomberg downplayed his long, well-documented history of sexism as “bawdy humor.” For the record, it’s not humorous to tell a pregnant employee to “kill it!” or ask a newly-engaged female underling, “What is the guy dumb and blind? What the **** is he marrying you for?” as Bloomberg allegedly has. But even beyond these gross displays of sexism, what’s really alarming is the way that Bloomberg has used a common tactic of sexual harassers and silenced women who want to speak out against him and his company through nondisclosure agreements.

Thankfully, Huntsman called him out on it to his face during Wednesday’s show.

“You have been accused in the past of making lewd and sexist comments and fostering a frat-like culture at your company that was uncomfortable for some female employees …” she said. “ABC has actually has spoken to several women who want to share their stories, but you won't release them from their NDAs.”

The candidate’s response was far from satisfactory. Bloomberg was unapologetic and said, “We don't have anything to hide, but we made legal agreements … just because you signed a nondisclosure doesn't mean you can't talk about other things. You just can't talk about what was in that agreement where perhaps you don't disparage the other party, or you don't want to retell a story, whatever it is.”

So yeah, Bloomberg isn't even pretending to hide the ball. He is openly admitting that he has silenced women and that he plans to continue silencing women who want to criticize him and his company's record. This is appalling, and in the age of Democrats claiming to embrace #MeToo, it should be disqualifying.

It’s rare that I agree with Elizabeth Warren on just about anything, but she deserves credit for her consistency on this. The Massachusetts senator and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate has called Bloomberg out, saying, “If his company has an enviable record, then let people in his company or former people from his company speak about that enviable record. What is it that Michael Bloomberg has to hide?”

Warren is on to something here. Bloomberg clearly has something to hide, or he would release the women from their NDAs.

According to ABC News:

Court records that show at least 17 women have taken legal action against Bloomberg's company over the past three decades, three of which remain active. Several lawsuits accuse him of fostering a hostile environment for women to work in the 1990s. Three of those cases specifically name Bloomberg and quotes attributed to him in the court filings include ‘I'd like to do that piece of meat,’ and ‘I would do you in a second.’
I’ve also documented the ample complaints from women, examples of sexism, and lawsuits that have plagued Bloomberg and his company. He's probably sticking to these NDAs to prevent more examples from coming out.

It’s baffling that liberal media outlets and mainstream democratic figures have been so silent on Bloomberg’s sexism and silencing of women. The hypocrisy is stunning, and it only further reveals the emptiness of many left-wingers professed dedication to feminism.

As long as you have a D next to your name there are no standards of decency to follow.

Liberal Logic 101:
Americans shall be required to submit to a background check to exercise a right already guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment while any foreigner shall be allowed into America without submitting to a background check.

its hiding in the corner, waiting for someone with a R behind his name.
