The Counterattack Is Underway
Posted at 12:30 pm on February 13, 2020 by Stu Cvrk

Trump supporters have been impatiently waiting for some real push-back on the Democrats and their Deep State and legacy media allies for over three years now. Some well-earned Trumpenfreude is long overdue for those involved in the various illegal investigations (e.g., Crossfire Hurricane), abuses of the FISA process, the impeachment farce, and frivolous investigations into President Trump and his family (e.g., the emoluments clause lawsuit).

With his lifetime acquittal by the US Senate of the hyper-partisan impeachment charges brought by the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives, President Trump is now counterattacking on multiple fronts. Let’s review the good news:

AG Barr announces a new policy that there will not be investigations of 2020 presidential candidates, their campaigns, or advisers without his approval (Loretta Lynch’s policy was apparently to look the other way to facilitate investigations):
The Vindman twins were summarily dismissed from the National Security Council and walked out to the cheers of many:
National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien is reassigning 70 Obama holdovers at the NSC
Ambassador Gordon Sondland was recalled (fired)
AG Barr announced a crackdown and a “‘significant escalation’ against so-called ‘sanctuary cities’ for ‘unconstitutionally interfering’ with federal efforts to enforce immigration law.”
DoJ staff outside Main Justice in DC and separate from John Durham’s criminal investigation have been reviewing Ukrainian-related records – including information provided by Rudy Giuliani – for several weeks (this is the big one that could implicate many in the political class)
Overly harsh (vindictive?) sentencing guidelines for Roger Stone recommended by Mueller’s Democrat prosecutors were revised downward https://dailycaller.com/2020/02/11/d...s-roger-stone/
Swamp rat Jesse Liu, who oversaw the prosecutions of Roger Stone and Michael Flynn, was replaced as US attorney for Washington, DC
Jussie Smollett was indicted on 6 counts
Two Republican senators going after mischaracterizations (lies) in the Horowitz report on FISA abuse
In a tweet (he always identifies future targets!), POTUS goes after Obama-appointee Judge Amy Berman Jackson who presided over the Manafort, Gates, and van der Zwaan
In another tweet, POTUS brings up Tony Podesta (I wonder why now if not to signal something happening on the legal front)
Devin Nunes suggests that the Mueller prosecutors are going to face some serious problems as their involvement in perpetuating the Russian hoax through bogus investigations is exposed
John Durham’s criminal investigation continues apace; sources say a mountain of evidence has been uncovered “beyond expectations”
Clinton Foundation-related prosecutions are also reportedly in the queue
All of these are aimed at rooting out the corruption and sedition about which we have been glimpsing through various investigative reports over the past several years, and it’s clear that a ramp-up of actions is underway. There are bound to be more DoJ announcements in the queue, too: prostitution rings, pedophilia, public corruption, and other topics come to mind. It sure seems like a counterattack to me! More Trumpenfreude is on the way…

The end.

Att'y General Barr pushes back.
Quote:
I am not going to be bullied or influenced by anybody.

n an interview with ABC News, Barr said presidential statements and tweets “about the department, about people in the department, our men and women here, about cases pending here, and about judges before whom we have cases, make it impossible for me to do my job and to assure the courts and the prosecutors and the department that we’re doing our work with integrity.”
The attorney general’s comments are almost certain to anger the president, who has heaped criticism on some current and former Justice Department officials over prosecutions and investigations involving the president’s former associates and alleged leaking by government officials. Barr said he was prepared to accept the consequences of speaking out against the president.

“I cannot do my job here at the department with a constant background commentary that undercuts me,” the attorney general said. He also noted that when he became attorney general last year, he pledged to resist intimidation from any quarter, whether Congress, the White House, or elsewhere.

The end.
There is nothing in that list of "getting even" that could not have been done before now. Why the wait?
This onset/counterattack gives the appearance of revenge. If you do not find that scary, you should.
The tweeting thing is out of control.....one of its effects is to bypass the judicial process, at least to a degree. Mr. Trump is staging an assault on various people that should originate with the DOJ not on a public forum like Twitter.
Mr. Trump is at least as vindictive as his opponents.
The "Deep State" - accusations always seem to be solely connected to those who oppose Mr. Trump. Is there no "Deep State" to defend him? How could that be?
Pete
PS: "lifetime acquittal"....as was pointed out to me in December when I wrote that Mr. Trump would be found not guilty. Acquittal does not mean innocent.

Pres. Trump stated a year ago he was very surprised the opposition to him carried on beyond is beating H. Clinton.
He knew that for a few months they would pout like children but the all out hate assault against him caught him by surprise.
He left many there to show he was willing to work with the other side; the scheme to impeach him started the day he was elected.
Now he is simply doing what he could have done from day one but since trying to work with them was his worst mistake , he is simply showing what goes around comes around.
I used to think his tweets were silly, but they more than anything caused the Liberals to show what they really represent.
Only a fool would not be vindictive at this point.
He is simply saying in his tweets what the liberals also think but thought they could play the populace for fools as they have done for decades.
As one of the heads of the DNC said back when Clinton was elected when a news woman asked how Clinton got elected despite his whoring reputation -- Americans are dumb as crap and getting dumber every day.

Bob: I am fairly sure that what you have expressed is the mainstream belief amongst Mr. Trump’s dedicated followers.
I don’t see vindictiveness as a positive quality in a man who wields the vast power of the Presidency. I find it most unsettling.
The tweets are equally troubling...they amount to an end run around the judicial process. The moment that he targets someone their trial has started in the court of public opinion. There is a lot of weight behind those little missives. That is what the AG was referring to when he said that the tweets made it impossible for him to do his job.

I'm with Bib on this one. The hate started as soon as Pres Trump was elected...I doubt they waited even until the first morning ….However, the hate started immediately.

They could have expended their hatred during the first days/weeks of the new administration, since the new administration was ignoring their animosity during the pre inauguration period,

when they were composing the new administration.

Admittedly, the president is /has been known as a "counter puncher"..so that should have been expected

...But there was no let up in the left's accusations. The new president was called everything from traitor, thief, Nazi, Fascist and worse. Meanwhile, the left is not slowly withdrawing

from their insanity. To the contrary, they seem to be doubling down.. One fellow was recently beaten for wearing a MAGA hat!

https://www.redstate.com/nick-arama/...polling-place/

A left-wing publication reports hoe another man was attacked for wearing a hat which said "Make America great again" .. in Russian !

https://www.thedailybeast.com/man-be...-maga-hat-cops.

Yes, the president is a counter puncher, but that is well known... counter puncher verbally, he doesn't attack anyone physically.

Don't forget, some high ranking leftist pols, have called for or suggested confrontations.. e.g. Maxine Waters..Hillary Clinton. No conservative has done that !

Yes, there has been a slight dust up between the Pres and the AG..it only appears problematical, because the fake news is trying to exacerbate the situation.

Like any raising of dust..this dust up will settle soon !

The left has become accustomed in recent decades of attacking conservative candidates and presidents, with impunity..the ones attacked, being too timid to answer back!

Just look at the campaigns of McCain & Romney in recent years.. We conservatives have tired of being kicked around, so we chose a man who will "answer back" !

He is performing as expected...

For Pres Trump..even before his election evening was over, his "trial" started and continues today. Nancy, Adam and the little pygmy Nadler, apparently haven't embarrassed

themselves quite enough yet, since they are threatening to make the democrat's symbol of the jackass..totally their own !

The affront you express as criticism against the man we elected our President, who has weathered a constantly condescending attack from the Left since BEFORE he was elected, to include their opening of a "Pandora's Box" in allegations that Trump DID NOT DO, but that the Democrats have done (and continue to do) in SPADES with the help of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA, says nothing in regard to the loathsome, underhanded, smarmy, dirty politics, of the Democratic Party, Never Trumpers, and yes - Deep State ("insurance policy") that LOST A FIXED ELECTION. With the hypercritical and culpatory Media the Dems have turned that Party almost 100% Socialist in its anti-American rhetoric, platforms, and legislation. Free stuff for all. Redistribution of wealth. Socialism WORKS ==> until they run out of Other People's money.

The TRUTH has always come after the accusations and Seagull Management clatter subsides that the Democrats have spent the best part of the last four years attempting to wrest power from We The People and our duly elected Official, and NONE OF IT STICKS. Accusing him of everything they themselves have been doing for decades.

It has ALL BEEN MAKE BELIEVE from the Party of Democrats that HATE AMERICA, have done LITTLE in 12 years but redistribute taxpayer dollars, attempt to "fundamentally transform" America (there was nothing wrong with it before except for the "now exposed" corruption of the Democratic Party), as they lined their own greedy and power-hungry pockets through a manpower MACHINE called THE DEEP STATE that rewards those that look the other way, give aid and provide cover to those that are exposed, and fosters even greater PAY TO PLAY corruption politics. Those ARE the FACTS.

If these undeniable truths have not been made clear to you then perhaps you should remove your Rose Colored Glasses. If over the last three years the Democrats had put their effort into Making America Great Again instead of covering up their own lying, greedy, lining power hungry pockets while attempting to unseat President Trump, think HOW MUCH could have been done!

The Dems have attempted a coup d'état that has been exposed and has FAILED. They are the party of HATE.

In business, the relentless purpose is to make the end result good, repeatable, affordable, desirable, and do that in trustworthy and above board fashion. If the "employees" lose sight of that purpose, they must be reassigned or fired, and those that remain redirected to the relentless purpose.

Simple deduction for a Businessman says "Heads Shall Roll" when the employees are openly resistive to and reject the purpose. That's called Capitalism and is good business but not vindictive as you have characterized it from a Democratically colored lens.
