Pete, sure we should take normal precautions, such as we are expected to do during any flu epidemic. ..But beyond that, what can any of us do ?

Some here on GBO seem to be angry because our President, acts so calmly. What is he expected to do? There are ditzy people everywhere, if he launched

into a panic attack, these koo-koos would go stark-raving..

..But as I observe, they are the same people who complain about the president as often as they can, thus using the situation to politicize the sickness,

just as the Demonrats all over are trying to do.

I will take normal precautions, but I strongly suspect that by fall, coronavirus will just be a bad memory, and laugh at panic some folks exhibited..

So far as the claim that the virus started here in the U.S.... That is just one more example of the perpetrator trying to blame the victims...

.
The President just declared a national state of emergency. That is a change of heart,
Notes; there is some sketchy info on the previous posts,,,comparing the mCOVID 19 virus Is not a good idea. It is not the flu.
Yes, Coronaviruses have been around for years. Not this one. Most of the others are not communicable to humans, This one is.
It is apparently more virulent.
Not enough cases to warrant a reaction? If you wait until there are enough, then you are behind and playing catch-up.

Look for the internet to be shut down so to avoid public panic. Something else is going on here.

Liberal Logic 101:
Americans shall be required to submit to a background check to exercise a right already guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment while any foreigner shall be allowed into America without submitting to a background check.

Self-diagnosed? How could you have been exposed? Traveling? Are there people near you with diagnosed COVID19? Evidently clearing the symptoms takes 10 days or more after onset. You were over it in less than a week.
Good that you are feeling better. I wonder what it was that you had.
Btw...
I am not disagreeing about over reaction, especially from the common man. I was in supermarkets in two different states yesterday and Thursday (NY and PA). What were normally quiet markets were packed with people wheeling overfull shopping carts.
Why? I was asking myself. What do they think is going to happen?
