And I would add FDA and NIH to that as well.

Yes, Mom, the CDC Is Part of the Deep State, Too

Think the Obama-era DoJ and FBI were the only federal agencies that were politically corrupted by Democrats? Guess again. The sad reality is that the list of uncorrupted federal agencies is tiny compared to the list of those that were exploited by Obama and his minions for political purposes. We have already learned much – but not enough! – about the Obama-era FBI who defrauded the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, not once but multiple times. And even some of Obama’s own political appointees in the Justice Dept questioned the FBI’s treatment of LTG Michael Flynn.

There’s nothing like an unplanned result – Hillary’s 2016 loss to a political neophyte – to shake things up and expose massive political corruption and criminality in federal agencies that run amok during Democrat administrations. Except for maybe a crisis like the Wuhan virus, that is. While all of our attention over the past three-and-a-half years has been focused on Washington, DC, the Centers for Disease Control, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, has been flying under the radar screen. Now that the CDC (and the National Institute of Health) are in our cross-hairs, we are learning that those organizations were infected by the same Obama-corruption virus, too. And why wouldn’t they be susceptible, as the preponderance of federal civil servants are after all Democrats? For example, in the 2016 election cycle, federal civil servants gave 95% of their campaign contributions to Hillary Clinton, as reported here. Makes me wonder how many of the CDC/NIH experts interviewed on TV are actually Democrats.

As an aside, it is quite amazing that the Democrats and their media sycophants are essentially blaming the CDC and NIH for a “chaotic response” and the “lack of a coherent plan” in responding to the Wuhan virus. When they blame President Trump, in reality, they’re blaming Democrat-infested federal agencies that have been turned into politically-correct ****-holes, as opposed to executing their mission by focusing on investigating, handling, and controlling new infectious diseases and preparing responses for pandemics.

Investigative journalist Daniel Greenfield has exposed the rotten underside of the CDC in a shocking article at FrontPageMag. Here are a few excerpts from his must-read piece:

[D]uring the Ebola crisis, Democrats tried to shift responsibility from the Obama administration by blaming Republicans for cutting the CDC’s budget from $6.5 billion to $5.9 billion. Sound familiar? Where do those billions for the CDC actually go? Among other things, pushing gun control. The terrible budget deal from December allocated $25 million to the CDC and NIH to study gun violence.

The CDC is a classic example of a progressive success story, an agency created to fight malaria by spraying DDT, whose original mission has long since become politically incorrect and which instead adopted a politically correct search for the social root causes of diseases like syphilis and AIDS.

Unlike fighting malaria by spraying DDT, fighting syphilis by combatting racism doesn’t work.

The CDC’s fight against the “obesity epidemic” is even sillier. That includes funding 15 colleges to “work with community extension services to increase access to healthier foods and safe and accessible places for physical activity.” That meant giving LSU over a million bucks to work with farmers’ markets.

Obesity obviously can kill people, but it’s not something that the CDC can or should be trying to fix.

America doesn’t need the CDC as a pipeline for pork to state schools. We do need the CDC to fulfill its original mandate by dealing with outbreaks of infectious diseases, initially malaria and smallpox, and now Ebola or the coronavirus. We need science, not social welfare.

Unfortunately, the CDC, like every federal agency, has drifted from its core mission into social welfare.

By the time the Clinton administration had gotten through wrecking the CDC, its labs were infested with mice and rats, and had leaky ceilings. Not only hadn’t it cured syphilis, but it was utterly unready to deal with the anthrax threat. The Obama administration rolled back Bush administration reforms and brought back the old broken CDC under Thomas Frieden. After Frieden botched the Ebola crisis, even mainstream media outlets joined Republicans in calling for his resignation.

The CDC left the Obama era even more damaged than ever before.

The whole article is filled with startling information, but Greenfield not only exposes the problems but recommends solutions, too (that’s a sign of good journalism!). This is spot-on:

No one thinks about the CDC until we need it and discover it doesn’t work. And then the same story repeats itself a few years later while the CDC goes back to battling obesity and racism.

The solution begins with restating the mission of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, defining what a disease is, and what controlling or preventing it means. Rolling back mission creep starts with ending CDC campaigns against lifestyle behaviors and focusing on preventing actual disease outbreaks through science, not social welfare.

Spot on! Is it any wonder that President Trump formed a White House Coronavirus Task Force to handle the government’s response, as opposed to letting the CDC and NIH take the lead as they did during Obama’s Ebola and H1N1 responses? And consider that President Trump did that – and instituted travel restrictions with China (and being called a racist for his quick action) – while dealing with the Democrats’ impeachment farce, which didn’t end until the Senate acquittal in early February. Imagine what he might have accomplished without that distraction!

When this Wuhan virus crisis is over, the CDC and NIH need to be re-purposed and refocused, with the politically-correct and cultural Marxist nonsense removed completely from the agencies.

Say! Wouldn’t that be a great idea for the rest of the federal government, too? The US military could use the same bitter medicine, for starters.

The end.

Good read, Already knew most government agencies are bloated bureaucratic **** holes filled with people who don't want to get a real job and actually compete in a free market. I guess the CDC turned out just like the others.

Gentlemen you can't fight in here, this is the war room. Lifetime member of shootin stuff.

Conspiracy theory horse puckey. The Pence team includes and relies on NIH and CDC experts as well as experts in the Public Health Service and a health expert from the State Dept. And these folks have the lead in addressing the coronavirus epidemic.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend Troll. In this crisis, it is "right and just" to have the "experts" in the field take the lead. Certainly, you do not believe that a Businessman has the MEDICAL expertise to steer this madness to some reasonable conclusion. Targeted assistance and ultimately the buck stops with the President. But getting to know your enemy in a time of crisis is to understand the depth of the cancer already in the House.

Hey Mule, you are entitled to your opinion but not your own facts. Smiling emoji! won't paste here. I think it's healthy and informative for Graybeards to share their view of the world. We are linked by some common interests and we are all Americans. It's OK to disagree how to get from here to there, and the politicians are just not capable of pleasing all of the folks all of the time.

Stay healthy.

I agree with your view of the businessman's medical expertise.

The expert mission is to identify threats and present technical solutions to mitigate those threats. Elected officials, when they understand the threats, allocate resources to execute the technical solutions. Both experts and politicians have a responsibility to develop social awareness of the threats and the ways to address the threats. How they are going about doing this currently, and how the media is helping/not helping is a fascinating exercise.

Truly successful businessmen recognize the limits of their expertise and either go back to school or hire expert staff or consultants when the business endeavors transcend the businessman's area of expertise. And listen to the experts and apply their expertise to the business at hand in a sufficiently timely fashion to beat the competition.

Hopefully during Donald Trumps second term, he will clean the Obama commies out of all the agencies in his administration and stock it with true American patriot experts that will rekindle a real lasting American Constitutional Republic philosophy--a legacy for President Pence to build on.

Truly successful businessmen know when they are being shucked and jived by so-called experts and when alterior motives are in play.

Its not hard to figure out this Coronavirus deal is a backdrop for a far greater Paradigm Shift_ _what Trump is calling a war, and I call the Great War of Storms.

And do remember what Schumer said on inauguration day when he and demonicrats declared open war on Trump and the nation.???

Isn't the CDC the agency that "studies" the causes of "gun violence"? I highly doubt there is a federal agency left without some kind of political agenda. Having said that, the CDC is all we have right now to get information passed to the masses, who are always one step away from becoming a slobbering, ravenous mob. Even though the the CDC probably has no idea where and how the virus started, the slobbering, ravenous mobs need to believe that the federal government is in control of the situation....and if that means the virus started in Wuhan, China,...then that's what they gotta do...the Virus started in Wuhan...there, I feel better already..
