SciFi once again predicts what will become a reality. Still in its infancy but it is a big step forward in robotics once it's perfected. It one day could lead to true Androids, not just a robot.

"I, Robot" comes to mind rather than "Terminator".

"I, Robot" was in the moment. "Terminator" was time travel.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Ex Machina. Than just any ordinary robot. Discoveries like this will put us closer to building a more realistic humanoid android. Biomechanical, not a clunky machine.
