Default Getting pretty low on the old friends list.

You ever feel like you are one of the last ones standing? And that's a very short list.

a lot more of my old friends have passed more so
than they thought they would.

several from pot smoking although they would swear
up and down that pot can't hurt you even though they
didn't use cigarettes.
hmmmmmm. . . .unfiltered joint and holding the smoke
a long time ? ? ? hmmmmmm. . . . spots on the lungs ? ?
shortness of breath. . .weakness. . .
who they gonna sue ? ? "big marijuana" ? ?

It's been a lot of things Ranger. Some died in the oil field. One was working for a wireline company about
to preferate downhole. Charges on a trailer went off and killed him.

Wow! You got me to thinking, I'm one of the "younger" guys in the group, and, counting me, there are only three of us left.

I started losin friends in 1976.
Car wrecks, gunshots wounds, stabbing, alcohol, suicide, but not one to illegal drugs.
Now, its old age, cancer, smoking, alcohol, a more usual normal atriction.
One of these days it will be my time.

Well of the 8 from the very old single digit neighborhood gang and 10 from the **** raising years, only one has died and that was thirty years ago.
I saw three of them this year I had not seen for twenty five years which is rather sad as even when had moved away from the hood, we still took trips to see each other once every two to three years.
Blood family from the old days is down to less than a handful and I see most at funerals, rather than church pork chop feeds I used to.
