I`m still here and still like to check in on the trappers, but can not figure why anyone would want to take any fur with the prices as they are. Exception coyote, I would kill them all for free if I were able. And I guess beaver also in this area. I really admire the little critters, but they don`t belong in farming country.

Without trapping, numbers of coon, beaver, and coyotes would soar.
Problems with predation would increase, gamebird populations and deer would also suffer.
Uncontrolled beaver populations cost taxpayers millions of dollars yearly.

Sorry for the delay!!! It has been an uphill battle getting re-registered on this site. Kept getting bumped out a couple dozen times and gave up and came back tonight and finally got things done. More work than wading mud to set rat traps.

Always tough when things are changed.Though the change in presidents is welcomed.
Now if we can get the picture of that trap changed, things will get better.

Is this what your seeing? To the left of the trapping index. To me on my desktop I see 1/2 of a shopping cart. The jawed trap is up at hunting and shooting. (Edit) I just refreshed the page memory. I now see the Jaw trap. You may have to forgive the tech people. I'm guessing that many have never set a trap or seen one in real life.

Vash, that's part of the problem--people who have never seen traps, believe that what is pictured is what we use.
That's why the picture upsets me.We try to educate people about what we do and use,and that cartoon of a trap, does more to hurt us.
