Default 7mmTCU barrel. Odd but a goodie 😉

Long ago.. I had a ten inch 7mmtcu full bull barrel.
It was a super 14 chopped off to ten inches.
Shot extremely well....
Some how.. it got away.
Always wanted it back..
So along comes a super 14 ..
This time if I'm remembering correctly.. sent it to virgin valley for a custom crown.. and chopped her back to 11.25"
I found a few of my old Sierra's 150s that I had loaded for it..
She's still a good barrel.
The balance is great.

How did you get started with your calibers ?
What got you interested ?
Me?
I was reading a thread on here talking about it..
Intrigued me from what the guys were saying about how accurate they are and so eazy to reload for.
So I bought one....have had a huge love affair with it.

You are right Peaboby. That 7mm.TCU 14in. Has never been altered by me.
It was bought 3rd in line after my original order at the LGS. My G1 came in with a .223 Rem. & a .35 Rem. Bbl.
Although I scoped the .223 and .35 they were a tad unwieldy. I outlined the rear sight of the 7mm. With yellow luminecsent paint.
The front sight has a white lum. Paint dot.
H332 powder in a shell topped with a 120 gr. bullet gave me all 15 shots inside a 2 in. circle at 50 yds. / only once , cuz. I got lucky with my right eye astigmatism. (Saved that target ... To show my Gunsmith friend and range club sponsor) (1987)

Sounds like you've got a good one!
I kick around the ideals of other calibers..
But seems like I always fall back on the 7tcu.
