Iirc the tooling was scrapped.....but maybe the scrap buyer was Chinese?

All imports have to have them!

Not true. I'm hunting with one right now that was produced in the 3rd quarter of 2017 that doesn't have one. CVA Scout V2, chambered in .450 Bushmaster.

The back half of the frame is different, stock and forearm are drastically different, there is a manual safety and the fit and finish is much better than a Handi/Pardner... the only similarity is in the front half of the frame and the barrel lug.
Anyone who actually sees/handles one wouldn't say they are clones.
