That front sight also caught my eye immediately. You can get the Williams Shorty front ramp with an adapter which will attach to the dovetail, screw tightens so no pounding/pushing to install it. Then add a front sight and it looks right.

Nice rifle there Tim. Henry puts out the nicest wood for a standard grade rifle.

I have the traditions 357. I've been a lurker here for a long time, but one of my reasons for joining was just to reply to this thread. I have just gone through the traditions wringer. It was a disaster to get my brand new blemished gun repaired. Customer service was horrible and they will never get another penny from me. I was lied to about my gun being repaired then replaced and then returned 3 or 4 times! I lost track after a while. I told them I would make known how bad they treated me so here I am. I have a thread about it over on cast boolits if anyone is bored.

The gun itself is not too bad, but I have yet to find a load that shoots well out of my newly replaced barrel. It does not like the same loads my original did... That scares me a little too.

With a little looking, you can find a used Handi rifle in .357 mag.

Have you written up an evaluation of the rifle. Sure would appreciate your insights on it. G66
