Default My first G2 ...

Just received my first Thompson center contender G2.
Stainless, black composite stock and forend.
Yep.. it opens eazy peasy..
My 23" barrels lock up nice and tight.
7-30 waters.. and 30-30 AI.
Although? The trigger mechanism, can move side to side in the frame..is this normal ?
Trigger is slightly heavy, but crisp.
I do think once I get a trigger job on it, I'm going to be pretty happy with it.

Is that one of the new frames from Hausofarms or have they made it to market yet?

I don't know about that..
I traded for it at the gun shop.
It's new.
Was still in the box and wrapper.

I don't own one from Springfield, so I don't know if it's good or bad. But I don't think the new ones from Hausofarms are made there

It is still a thing of beauty!
A Stainless G2 frame is a great thing.
I don't care where it was made.
Congratulations, sir.

Think twice, shoot once...

I have barrels in both those calibers. You will be surprised at the accuracy.

Neither good or bad Peabody. Haus of Arms is taking pre-orders for the SSK-50 frame (SSK Industries version of the Original Contender). It is backwards compatible with barrels and "G1" furniture, stainless, and has a few upgrades and engraving options.
