The United States doesn't have a gun control problem.
We have a people control problem.

Honor the Texas flag;I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas,

As I recall, memory gets thin like hair, #4 buck is about .25. 000 buck is about .360 and can be used in .38's. As suggested, 00 is around .310 and you shove it into a sized .30 caliber case ... The Alliant propellants were popular. Small amounts of Bullseye or Unique or ??? And if you wish to be thorough, rub a smear of grease over the ball for lube. Smaller charges, less noise and some hunt mice and rats in basements and barns. You want to get fancy, run the ball thru a size die first. If you use Crisco, like the Black powder boys, the smells will make you hungry. With a rimmed case for headspace, this is a ball of fun. With a rimless case, you need to remember that this will shorten the case and if you go back to a full load it will/can cause case head separations. BIG NUISANCE. Luck. Happy Trails.
