Default Need Help Finding Bolt for Stevens 110E 30/06

Picked up a great rifle that was missing the bolt. Found one on eBay for a .270, but there has to be another source? Please help if you can. Thanks

Any long action savage bolt will work. You may have to adjust headspace of course. Check it, you may get lucky and not need to break the barrel loose.

The Stevens 110E was made some time a go, before Savage reintroduced the Stevens line with the 200 series. The gun is the same as a Savage 110E. Main difference ….is it will use the larger firing pin, and have a three piece sear/bolt release, and it should use a 3 screw trigger. The parts will interchange with the modern guns, but some modification may be needed to use the newer small pin bolt heads. It can be made to work.

Okay I started cleaning her up and the screws on the bases were pretty beat, also the front bases had shims. My question is that you can see threads in the first hole, is that normal?

That is perfectly normal. The receiver was D&T'ed before the barrel was installed. NORMAL

I would get a one piece base and toss that shimmed up mess over my shoulder. JMO

True! There are a lot of options on one piece. I have been buying some “Northwoods” off EBay for my contenders and Encores he makes them for Savage too.
