Default Installing front sight

Continuing on with the project I'm doing. A rifle barrel, with no sites currently on the front, no holes drilled, just a plain barrel. The question is, how do I find the center line of a barrel so I can attach a front sight and it would be straight and even with the rear sight.Thanks.

I have used this very method. I am sure there are others out there, but this one does work provided you have flat surfaces to work with.
