Default Touching up a Mossberg reciever

I'm rescuing a Mossberg 500A. I bought a walnut stock that needed repaired and refinished. I removed the camo paint that was on it and it doesn't look bad. I'd like to touch up some worn spots on the receiver but the only product I can find is BC's Aluminum Black. It doesn't work on some alloys and the Mossberg receiver is one of them. Is there another product on the market?

For what its worth. I had a few guns survive a house fire. The ones that didn't need anything were a couple I had painted with Rustoleum. And it comes in flat, semi-gloss and gloss. Also used it on a mod. 60 Marlin.
You can also do a powder coat bake-on a coat of Teflon.
