Default CMMG upper

I recently recieved a M4 type AR upper in a CMMG box. It seems to be of quality make, but I dont see any markings on it that say CMMG. The caliber(5.56) and twist is roll stamped in annular fashion around the barrel by the flash hider. Other than that, only one letter Mark's on the front sight and reciever. Shouldn't it have the makers name on it or are they just stamped on the lower like most every other AR?

For an update, I talked to a nice Gentleman on the telephone today from the factory. He assured me that the barrel stamp identified it as one of theirs.

if its cmmg you have quality stuff. Ive got a 16 in 9mm that shoots 2 inch groups at a 100 yards with a red dot! Never misses a beat and had a 16 in 556 cmmg that I foolishly let go of about 10 years ago. Im one that allways preachs that high dollar doesn't allways relate to great gains in quality in the ar world but if I had a 1000 bucks to dump on an ar (the level I call high bucks for an AR) it would defineately be a cmmg hands down over a colt.

Thanks, Lloyd. I've set it up with just carry handle sight and was very pleased with it this past weekend with cheap Academy fmj ammo. It's mainly going to protect the house with 55gr sp when I get it lined out.

they have a life time warrantee even on barrels (as does stag) so you can even put a binary trigger on it and shoot the crap out of it and they will replace your barrel when its worn.
