Default .2 or .3 Grains - BIG Difference - Chase It!

See attached 3 pictures for a classic case of Before, ON and After the Barrel Node.

This is good one to show a friend who says "0.2 gr. won't make any difference in a .44 Mag Cast Load..."

This is a Henry Big Boy .44 Mag w 20" Barrel (Man, I love this rifle). Bullets are CWW Cast 245-GC gr. from Arsenal Molds(432-245g RF-GC). Lube was White-Lube "BAC". All shooting done from 50 Yards with a bag and a scope, so very little "shooter-shake" involved. (That bullet feeds like Silk in this lever gun too if you're curious.)

Look at how beautifully that 9.9g Unique Load gathers everything up from just .2 or .3 on either side of it. One of the reasons we reload...feels good.

Velocity from that gun was 1,300 FPS.

Woo Hoo! Yes...that is why we reload. Wide meplat and slow gets it done. That is a Buffalo Rifle for sure. I like it when the visual evidence TELLS YOU that you have hit a sweet spot. Now, open her up to 100 yards...

I have a 7.5" bbl Ruger Blackhawk revolver in 45 Colt that likes 255 grain cast bullets over Unique. That gun ALWAYS feels good shooting it.

You definitely found what your Henry wanted. That load should definitely get the job done, enjoy shooting that one. Take care, John.

It's not what you do, but how you do what you do, that counts.

That's why they named; Unique the powder that really is "Unique". You can use it for almost anything. pistol, rifle, shotgun.

When you allow a lie to go unchallenged, it becomes the truth.

A statement of fact: H&R Huntsman & Sidekick blued barrels are made of 4140 steel.
