Default Sig Sauer kilo 1200 range finder..

I just got one and am trying to figure out the operation. I cannot find an on/off switch, does it have an automatic on/off operation?

I can't believe I must pull the battery between uses..

ive got a couple sig Romeo red dots. They can be turned on and off with a button but also can be left on and after a minute of sitting absolutely still they turn themselves off and with just a light touch of the finger back on. I wonder if they didn't do something like that with there range finder.

looked around a bit on the net. Looks like the kilo 1250 turns on by holding down the range button. Don't know if you have to hold it down till it turns off too or if it turns off on its own.

I found my owner's manual... in the bottom of the box, under a liner which looked like it was the bottom floor of the box.

By that time of course, I had figured it out..just depress the RANGE button atop the range finder for a couple seconds.

With some preliminary testing now done, I am thoroughly pleased with the unit !
