Never saw an episode of Ed Sullivan, just various clips. I learned something new today.

Episode? We saw it LIVE, on B/W TV, all of us on Mom and Dad's bed, in the only room in the house with air conditioning (a window shaker), before going to bed in the 87-degree 83% humidity heat, where the sheets would be sticking to us before midnight, and then kicked onto the floor by 2 a.m., to leave us shivering, cold, and uncovered by morning. It happened EVERY night..

I remember the show, but didn't watch it much...not my bag.

My Father-in-law was a very hard worker, so every evening he would kick back and watch Lawrence Welk . Not being the musical sort, it bored me..so one day I

asked him why he so religiously watched Lawrence Welk...

He replied; "most of the time, I just fall off to sleep..and that way I know I haven't missed anything !"

My wife & I still watch Lawrence Welk every Saturday night. Followed by the country music shows on RFD channel.
