My daughter and son-in-law are leaving the Coast Guard here in a few months, after serving a couple of tours (post academy). My daughter is tracking to be a stay at home Mom with our current grandson, and future children. So the pressure is on my SIL to get a job. He's interviewed with several PDs, city and state, but nothing yet as they approach their detaching date in a few months, and they're burning leave and money to fly him to interviews. I'd just ask for a sense of peace for them - I've been there, it looks scary, but it works out. But no amount of me telling them so will make it so for them. I couldn't be prouder of them, they both had amazing careers with the CG, but transitions are tough. Thanks!
