Default Icelandic ham and cheese sandwich.

Best there is, I've been trying to duplicate that with no success. I don't know if it's they're ham or the Swiss cheese.Culinary, that's one thing they can sure take credit for. One lady online told me they don't use mayo.
They have thier own spread they make.

That's what she said. And some spice from a plant I've never heard of. It grows near volcanic rock soil.

Well get busy, get the ingredients, make one, post a picture, and give a first hand report.

Ok I will try. Even the bread was different than ours, thicker. It was very popular with the Air Force and Navy guys. The mojacks would bring them on the base to sell them to us.

Dated a mojack girl. Nana Westerlund. She was very sweet. But her family were communist. So it didn't work out.

I've seen it at a few grocery stores and Costco. I tried it once and for now, it's the only cheese I've found that I didn't like (other than processed fake cheeses.) I thought it was awful...

You might try jarlsberg cheese. It's a Norwegian cheese similar to Swiss...

Tony

If you haven't had Jarlsberg cheese you don't know what you're missing!
