Default finally got the grill out

snows melted and I could get to the shed with the grill in it. to celebrate, back straps on the grill and sliced potatoes and onion wrapped in foil. Doesn't get much better. I love back straps on the grill and although its hard I try not to eat them all in the winter so I have them for grilling. We have back straps on the grill at least once a week till the snow flys again. If we have a poor deer year I alternate back straps and cube steaks

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! STEEL FOR TANKS NOT FENCES!!!

Since I just got back home from a 4 day stay at the most expensive hotel in town. The hospital I’m on a pretty lean diet. So what little bit of food I get I want it to taste good. Yesterday the daughter grilled ribeyes for us but I cut mine in half. It was all I could eat. I’m not hungry either because each meal contains a balanced diet. Even though I’m eating only about a fourth what I used to eat.

I think I’m going to keep eating like this I feel better and I’ve gained about 25 lbs since I retired. Need to get back down to around 200# again.

My grill was on it's last leg at the end of the year last year so I have to get a new one this year and haven't done so yet. I did smell the neighbors grilling out the other night and it gave me the bug.

I also love back straps on the grill wrapped with a little bacon!

I think you just gave me the nudge to get that new grill! I have been eating deer roast and deer burger all winter. I am ready for some back straps!

Mine stays out year round and my wife prods me out to use it regularly. I get even by making her stay with me to make sure everything is done.

Ours stays out year round as well. Unless we get a hurricane. Then I put it in the shed or tie it down to the supports of the cabana beside the pool.

Mine sits outside too and that's the problem. It was buried in a 3 foot snow drift most of the winter, maybe I ought to move to Arizona when I retire so I can leave my grill out all winter and be a border vigilante! My heart is in the right place for both!

The only grills I have are are charcoal and an old gas that still uses lava rock.
The gas grill is decades and has taken a beating, needs work really but the new rockless grills are no different from grilling in a range with a flame broiler.

All my others are wood/charcoal .
I finally tossed one that has been around for over a decade as my cousin got me an identical new one so no reason for old shaky to take up space.
I use them till they literally fall apart and old shaky was a rust bucket.

^ ^ ^ that's what i do^ ^ ^

i have a couple now that need to go out front for bulk
trash pickup day, but i'll probably end up welding a piece
of metal in the bottom of one of them. the other one will
go out for sure. i still have one of those in the box
that i haven't put together. they had some on sale a good
while back that didn't sell because they were purple.
i bought the 3 they still had. i figure for $4.00 each i could
overlook the color and it'll cook as good as an all-black grill.

one thing for sure. you have to clean out a wood or charcoal
grill ASAP and not let the ashes stay in the grate, or they rot
out twice as fast from the lye in the ashes

What's wrong with purple? I kinda like it. I have purple covers on my smartphone and ipad. Can't get them mixed up with anyone else's that way.
