Default Itís all Teamnelsonís fault.

He talked about how much weight heís lost on his 𝙆𝙀𝙏𝙊 diet. So Iíve been on mine for a week or so. I always feel better when I cut out the carbs and sweets, sugars. Been either walking or riding my exercise bike everyday as well. My goal is to harden up a little and get down to about 190#. I weigh 220# when I started.

Truth is Iíd like to lose the insulin habit and maybe drop a couple pants sizes so I can wear my gun belt again with my tom three persons holsters.

You'll make it pastor!

I cut out the sugar, cut way down on carbs, and increased the veggies and dropped 30lbs in just over a year.

Best wishes. See? The forum is still good for good ideas when there isn't a bunch of sabotage happening.

There is always a bunch of sabotage happening. Especially in the religous, political, & pot belly stove forums.

Be that as it may, please post your good findings about keto. I'm interested to see how it works out for you. Some guys go overboard with it and buy all these weird food products. My contention is that keeping it simple is a better idea.

I have always been a meat eater. I like cheese and cottage cheese and low carb veggies. So far I have just cut out the bread, potatoes, and sugars. And cut back on the portions of what I am eating. Eat 3 times a day about 5-6 hours apart. Eat nothing after 7-8 pm except water. All I drink is about 3-4 cups of coffee a day and spring water from silver springs Florida. Try to drink 3-4 32 ounce mugs of water a day. I have cut salt from my diet and use peppers sweet and hot both to season my food.

I think just getting to the place that smaller portions satisfy you is the biggest challenge.

My wife started the Keto diet about 10 days ago and has been losing a pound a day.
Mainly it's just eating healthier, lots of salad and green veggies and meat.

I'm trying to gain back the weight I lost during my bout with chronic diarhea and ain't having much luck.
Any ideas??

I gorge on carbs and other unhealthy stuff.

Bug, Iíd say start eating a serving of yogurt a day with lots of probiotics in it. And then eat solid wholesome food accompied with moderate exercise. Your body should start healing itself like God designed our bodies to do. And thank God every day for his blessing of life, here and in the everafter.

What about the dash diet? Ive heard its for lowering blood pressure and losing weight. I was reading a book about healthy living and DASH diet was specifically identified as being both effective and something you can live with for a long time.
