I spent a year in Phan Thiet, the Nuoc Mam producing capital of Vietnam. I tried it, once.
Kind of like the one time I tried anchovies on pizza.
But like I said, I now keep anchovies on hand, maybe I'll try the fish sauce as well...
Unfortunately, even after all these years it's kind of hard to get the image, and smell, of those vats of rotting fish out of my mind!
