Anchovy reputation problem
Anchovies get a bad reputation because of how they are used in pizzas. That use of them is suitable only for true aficionados of anchovies, of which there are few.
Anchovies are greatly underused, and are superb for adding savoriness to salad dressings and savory sauces and gravies. Mash them up with a mortar and pestle, then blend them into the sauce. The result should not taste like anchovy, but should be deliciously savory. That's the way to use an anchovy.
